As part of the USAID‐ funded sustainable Cultural Heritage through engagement of local communities project implemented by ACOR, trainees from the DOA from different directorates across Jordan participated in conservation documentation training. Dr. Khadija Adam aimed to increase
participants’ knowledge of methodology, as well as to enhance their skills in analysis, treatment methodology, and architectural interpretation.
ACOR is proud to support programs that share knowledge of Jordan’s heritage by assisting the ongoing capacity‐building of archaeologists. The training program was carried out through coordination and supervision by Adam Shearman Executive Director Dr. Khadija Adam as a trainer and supported by the USAID‐funded Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project (SCHEP), implemented by ACOR.

The training Funded by USAID during ACOR. trainees from Department of Antiquities and the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, along with recent graduates, participants who joined us. Their enthusiasm and commitment to protecting archaeological sites riches are truly motivating. In order to conserve the heritage for future generations, the training dived deeply into the processes of documentation and conservation. also covered a variety of strategies and procedures suited to the unique requirements of various archaeological sites. This covered methods and techniques, decay phases and how to create an analysis with scientific terminology, treatment methodology, architectural interpretation, and more. The training program was carried out through coordination and supervision by Adam Shearman Executive Director Dr. Khadija Adam as a trainer and supported by the USAID‐funded Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities Project (SCHEP), implemented by ACOR.
TRAINING 3
The United States Agency for International Development – USAID‐ supported and financed the field training program supported by practical applications for the restoration of archaeological sites, under the supervision and guidance of specialized research centers accredited internationally and locally by the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities. Training was provided to all groups concerned with preserving archaeological sites represented by the Ministry's employees, Training included. Architectural, Archaeological documentation, photographic documentation ,3 D laser scanning, engineering training using ground ‐penetrating radar (GPR) at historical sites, also restoration activities applications, as well as the revival of traditional crafts in ancient industries, in addition to community participation.
The training program was carried out through coordination and supervision by Adam Shearman VP Operations and Development Dr. John Shearman as a trainer and supported by the USAID‐funded Sustainable Cultural Heritage Through Engagement of Local Communities ARCE.
